The Sloan Convention Center is owned by the City of Bowling Green and is managed by the adjacent Holiday Inn. It is a fantastic venue to host the NCH with plenty of outside parking and large indoor areas that are carpeted and air conditioned. ATTENDEE TESTAMONIALS:
To Joe Pruitt: Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the 2006 Corvette Homecoming. The turn out was great and so were all the activities. We were so pleased to have our 1977 Corvette judged by the experts and to get a true idea of what else we need to do to the car. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It was a complete surprise to win a top 25 trophy for our "baby"! This was our first Homecoming but will certainly not be our last. Thanks for EVERYTHING!!

To: Joe Pruitt Just wanted to let you know that Betsy and I just registered for the August 11 & 12, 2007, National Corvette Homecoming and to let you know how much we enjoyed the 2006 show. It was such a surprise to be reunited with our former neighbors Roger and Lavanna Nash after 10 years of absence. Ten years ago when we were neighbors, neither of us had purchased a Corvette and I really don't remember even talking about cars. At the 2006 NCH show I saw Roger and Lavanna and to my surprise found that Roger had not only a 1953 Corvette but a 1963 Corvette as well. Betsy and I look forward to another good show at Bowling Green this year and hope to see many new friends we met at last years show. We also hope to see Roger and Lavanna again. I wonder if Roger now has a 1973 as well. I guess we will see. Thank you for last years prestigious Promoters Choice Award for our 1978 Pace Car. We were very proud to receive this award.
See you in August, Charles Mattingly
Joe & Vera, It was wonderful meeting you both this past weekend in July 2009. We have only had our car since March 2009 and this was our first major Corvette event; we were both very happy with how the weekend unfolded.
The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. We made new friends that we will be keeping in touch with and attend Vette events with. The DJ was great too.
This is how our first event unfolded:
We were the lead car in the parade (what a shock to us!) We were awarded a Celebrities choice plaque We won the 50/50 raffle and the membership to the Bowling Green Assembly Corvette Club
Awesome! I can't express how excited we have been.
Thank you and Vera (and everyone who helped) for your time and energy into making this event as great as it is.
Cheers! Jim & Michelle Zdunic (V8DER)
To: Joe Pruitt Thank you for a wonderful car show experience at NCH 2009. We loved the drive through judging and hope that the judges did as well. We participated in the "Drive & Shine" on Saturday and the "Show & Shine" on Sunday.

Hi Joe, I keenly look forward to attending NCH this year. I live in Australia but have visited the US each year for the past 10 years. I have a daughter, son-in-law and grand kids who live in Jacksonville, FL and we visit them each year before or after heading off to other destinations. My wife and I have visited 22 states so far and this year plan to drive Route 66. Before heading west from Chicago we plan to drive down through Tennessee and Kentucky and aim to be in Bowling Green KY on July 16 and 17.
I drive a 88 C4 in Australia. It's an export model which went to Japan when new and was imported into Australia in 2005 and has been my much loved daily driver ever since, even with the steering wheel on the wrong side for Australia. I've had the car repainted and the original wheels stripped and relacquered. It truly is a great driving car and relatively unique where I live. I look forward to 2010 NCH

Joe, Thanks for mailing me the "Celebrity Judging Form". After returning home, I regretted that I did not get Gordon Killebrew to autograph my award as a reminder of "Who" had given my 'Vette special recognition. The form is now attached to the back of the award for all to see when I share the story of how one of the great personalities of the Corvette World honored my 'Vette at the The National Corvette Homecoming in 2011!
As I noted in a previous correspondence, Thanks to you, Vera, and all of the volunteers for a great event. Mike Manship's comment that meeting the people is as much joy as viewing the cars sums up the event. See you next year!
John and Karen Cosby
